Thanks for reading. Skype works as well as your ADSL/cable connection does – ie if you’ve got a good internet connection, Skype will work fine. I find it acceptable most of the time, although it can be hard to use during heavy network traffic periods (both inside office/home and in general).

iPhone: I do not own one, although I know many who do. The caveats that apply to its performance as a phone elsewhere (not powerful enough signal, hard to hear, etc.) seem to apply to the models being sold here as well. Technically it should work like any other GSM phone. As far as the rest of the iPhone goes – Two of my kids have iPod touches which is like an iPhone without the phone. Israel’s can access the app store and download all the apps for free or for whatever they cost. No access to the iTunes store, however.
